What is Reiki?

Reiki (pronounced ray-key) is a Japanese healing technique meaning "universal life force." Combining Rei, or “divine connection,” with Ki, or “life force energy,” Reiki promotes the body’s natural healing abilities, addressing both physical ailments and mental or emotional imbalances.

Reiki is non-religious and doesn’t require any specific beliefs. Rather than being “given” by a practitioner, the energy is drawn by the recipient, making it a personal experience.

Benefits of Reiki include relaxation, stress and pain relief, better sleep, increased energy, and a deep sense of calm. It also supports personal growth, intuition, and connection to one’s life purpose. Reiki’s gentle, non-invasive approach is safe for people of all ages, offering a comforting, potentially life-changing experience.

What to Expect from a Reiki Treatment

A Reiki treatment typically lasts about an hour, with the practitioner placing their hands gently on or just above the client's body to allow energy to flow. Clients lie fully clothed on a comfortable couch, and hand placements focus on key areas like the head, torso, and feet. Treatment can also be “hands-off,” with hands hovering above the body if preferred.

Reiki energy supports natural healing, and symptoms may briefly intensify as healing starts, sometimes called a “healing crisis.” Emotions or memories may surface, and discussing them with Giovanni can help reveal underlying issues.

The experience is usually deeply relaxing, fostering balance and harmony in body, mind, and spirit. Many people feel a sense of peace, sometimes entering a meditative state with visuals or "inner journeys".

A unique aspect of Giovanni's treatments is that, at times during a session, he might unexpectedly perform unfamiliar songs or chants, which come directly from Reiki and are unique for each person.

Lastly, Giovanni encourages trusting the process, as Reiki always provides us with what we are capable of facing in the moment. Trust and have faith that you are supported by something loving and beautiful, working for your highest good.

A Message for You

"Reiki doesn't necessarily give you what you want, but what you truly need! And what we need, I’ve found, is far more beautiful, bright, and loving than anything we could possibly imagine.

When you surrender to Reiki, when you give your whole self to it, Reiki gives you the unexpected and incredible life you deeply crave and sense calling to you.

Surrendering to Reiki is like surrendering to Life itself, and what we find there is sheer love and beauty. Inside and outside of ourselves… in fact, we forget where we begin and where the world does… and we no longer mind. We are at peace, we are in love.

Reiki is connection—the connection to the Divine, that which we all seek, knowingly or unknowingly. It is what I call true faith, "the food of the soul and medicine of the body." It is pure light, love, and beauty.

This doesn’t mean we won’t have challenges in our life, but we will walk through them with a "knowingness" in our heart that everything happens for us rather than to us. We will "know" that the pain we experience is actually love—the love we hold back from ourselves and the world. That pain is actually Our Father telling us, "Come on my child, be free! Love and be loved!"

My life purpose is to make that connection relevant, pristine, and ever-present for everyone Reiki brings into my life. To give my whole self—my life, body, and spirit—to Reiki, so that That love becomes our only reality.
